MyWorkpapers — Product Update
Released Thursday 24 April 2026 | 5 new features · 6 improvements
This release brings group workpaper sharing, improvements to the SMSF Dashboard, enhancements to the in-app support experience, and a range of reliability improvements across MyWorkpapers. Everything below is live from 24 April 2026. If you have any questions, our support team is happy to help.
New Features
Group Workpaper Sharing
You can now share workpapers across group structures directly from the workpaper index. Shared workpapers appear in read-only mode in the subsidiary file, with a clear label indicating where they were shared from. If you need to make changes in the subsidiary, you can unlink and create an independent copy at any time. Supporting documents — including Word, Excel, and PDF files — can also be shared, with the same read-only protections applied.
SMSF Dashboard — Document Upload Dates and Sorting
MyWorkpapers (AU)
Uploaded documents on the SMSF Dashboard now display the date they were added, shown beneath the uploader's name. You can sort the Supporting Documents list by upload date in ascending or descending order, making it straightforward to locate specific files when managing large volumes of documents.
SMSF Dashboard — Text Formatting Preserved
MyWorkpapers (AU)
Text entered in A1 workpapers now displays on the SMSF Dashboard with line breaks, spacing, and numbered formatting preserved. This ensures that content such as contraventions appears clearly and matches the structure you entered.
SMSF Dashboard — Help Centre Access
MyWorkpapers (AU)
You can now access the Help Centre directly from the SMSF Dashboard. An "Online Help Centre" option has been added to the profile dropdown menu, opening the relevant support section in a new browser tab.
Xero Import — Automatic Client Selection
When importing data from Xero, if your connection has only one client available, that client is now selected automatically. This removes an unnecessary step from the import process. Where multiple clients are available, you continue to choose from the list as before.
Improvements & Fixes
In-app support chat now activates only when you need it
The support chatbot stays hidden until you click the support icon in the header, and its open or closed state is remembered as you navigate between pages. When you need to speak with a support agent, the chatbot can now hand your conversation over to live chat directly.
Firm template edits to folder and workpaper names now save correctly
When editing folder or workpaper names within a firm template on the workpaper index, your changes now persist after refreshing the page.
Review point workpaper references remain visible when adding multiple review points
Workpaper references allocated to review points now remain displayed when you add additional review points, without needing to refresh the page.
Correct template resources now shown when copying from template resources
When using "Copy from Template Resources," only the appropriate resource templates for your file type are now displayed.
Customisation indicators now display on large comment boxes
Gold chain indicators now correctly appear next to large comment box sections that have been customised out, consistent with the behaviour for other section types.
SMSF Dashboard document eligibility controls now available
MyWorkpapers (AU)
Document eligibility settings are now available on the SMSF Dashboard, giving you greater control over which documents are accessible.
