In this guide, we will walk you through the process of quickly deleting and restoring a supporting document from the Trial Balance.
Deleting a Supporting Document
- Locate the account your supporting document is assigned to and click the paperclip:
- Ensure all the sign-offs have been removed:
- Click the three dots on the right-hand side of the account:
- Click Delete Supporting Document:
- Confirm the deletion in the pop-up:
- You have now successfully deleted the supporting document from your file. Recovering a Deleted Supporting Document:
Restoring a deleted Workpaper
- Go to the Working Paper Index:
- Go into Options and tick show inactive workpapers and show deleted workpapers:
- Open the Workpapers folder and select the cog to the right of the deleted workpaper. From here, you are then able to click “Restore”
- Once you have pressed Restore, go back to the Trial Balance. You will see your supporting document has returned to the assigned account:
