To import a Trial Balance from Bright, follow the instructions below;

Note: Please ensure the client name and all related dates match between the file in MWP and what is shown in Bright AP. If this does not match, importing a Trial Balance will fail.

 

1. From the Trial Balance, choose Import
   
   
2. Select "Connect to Bright" 

2. Enter your Bright account details and login

 
 
Note: Where applicable, you may be required to enter a security code for Multi-Factor Authentication.

3. Select the Bright organisation you want to connect to and click "Allow access": 

4. Next, you will choose the periods you wish to import and the accounting structure you would like to load.
 

• Select from Current Year Only, Prior Year Only or Both Current Year and Prior Year
• Using the Select Accounting Structure dropdown, select the appropriate Bright structure.

5. Once you have completed this, you can "Continue to TB Import"

6. Once the trial balance has been imported, select whether you'd like to return  to the Workpaper Index or the Trial Balance.
