After uploading a trial balance. You have the ability to change the account description if required.

We will now guide you through how to achieve this.

1. From within the Trial Balance, go into tools and enter edit accounting structure:

2. Select the Chart of Accounts tab:

3. Locate the account description you wish to change. Hover your mouse over the description and select the pencil icon to the right;

Note: You can use the search functionality to locate the account by name or the nominal code.

4. The text box will then open up for you to enter the new description. Press the tick to save your change:

5. Your trial balance will now update with the new description.

Note : Any description changes will automatically push through and update existing/new journals created within MyWorkpapers.
